Castle Durrow Wedding:
You can’t beat a good Christmas wedding. I really believe that planning to get married at Christmas time is great idea. Everyone is in a festive mood and many of your guests will be on holidays anyway. Ok, you will be taking a wee chance with the weather but as you can see by the wedding photography, you can be very lucky too.
Cliodhna & Omar decided that everything would be held in the Castle, from the getting ready, the civil ceremony and of course the very important celebrations.
I joined Omar and the groomsmen first, capturing the finishing touches to his “getting ready” and then it was of to Bob’s Bar in Durrow town for quick pint….I mean photos!
The day flowed so easy from there. The civil ceremony was held in Castle Durrow’s banqueting room. This room is just spectacular with its chandeliers, hand painted silk panels and beautiful mirrors. The scene was set and there wasn’t a dry eye in the house as Cliodhna & Omar said their vows.
Weather can be an issue in December as I said earlier but we were very lucky. It was more like a late spring day. Thank you, Santa !
I loved this wedding for many reasons, the people, the venue and the very kind weather, but most of all this lovely couple. They were so relaxed, so very happy and in love and a complete joy to be around. I will remember this wedding with great fondness. Thanks for having me Cliodhna & Omar and thanks for the memories.
