Relaxed Wedding At The Abbey Wedding and Events venue | Athy

It’s not very often that a new wedding venue opens up down the road. When Cathy & Bennett filled out my client enquiry form and said their wedding would be in The Abbey Wedding And Events Venue in Athy I was left scratching my head. How come I hadn’t heard of this venue before, had I missed something this last 13 years. Reading a little further down, Cathy said that she had booked this wedding venue while in was in the renovation stage, and they were one of the first couples to book a wedding there. That turned out to be an excellent choice, as the finished building has turned out to be a fabulous exclusive wedding venue. I can’t state enough that this venue is a perfect venue for weddings, especially weddings where the ceremony is held on location. See, The Abbey has its very own original 18th century chapel with stained-glass and dark wooden floors. This is only the start, as the decor throughout the building is simply stunning. The Abbey also has two very spacious suites for getting ready. Natural light flows into the rooms due to the ceiling high windows, great for pre ceremony portraits. The two landscaped courtyards are the prefect backdrop to your wedding photography and drinks reception.

Cathy & Bennett made full use of all the Abbey had to offer. We used the front courtyard for all the family photography and also walked the interior to find some magical light streaming through those massive windows. They had the most beautiful day full surrounded by their close family and friends.
