Wedding morning preparations at Rathsallagh House

Wedding mornings preparations can be quite hectic and stressful at times. Most couples these days decide to start the wedding day at their chosen venue. It has lots of benefits, some obvious, some not so. The biggest advantage is the time saving. No road journeys if the ceremony will be onsite. Another one is space. Don’t underestimate this. Rathsallagh house has a spacious bridal preparation suite called Eagle Lodge that provides ample room for brides, bridesmaids and family members to have that make-up and hair done in comfort. Another plus is the on-site wedding coordinator, there to lend a hand with any last minute details.

The Groom and his Grooms men have their own space too! This is a big bonus! As a wedding photographer, I can pop between both sides of the wedding party, capturing all the “getting ready images”.

Wedding Ceremonies At Rathsallagh House

If you choose to have your wedding ceremony on-site you have two options, indoors or out. Rathsallagh has one of the most stunning walled gardens for outdoor ceremonies. If you are lucky enough to have the weather, this should be a no-brainer. If the weather is not so great don’t worry, Rathsallagh have you covered. They have a stunning converted barn that is just perfect in all weather. . If you want a local church wedding ceremony, there is the Saint Nicholas Of Myra RC Church,  in Dunlavin. Rathsallagh house wedding photography Locations

There is no shortage of great wedding photography locations in and around Rathsallagh House. The walled garden is by far my favourite. It has everything we need for some stunning backdrops. It always seems to be in bloom no matter the time of year. Furthermore, it’s a great location for a first look as it’s very private and peaceful. Just outside the walled garden, there is a beautiful woodland area which is full of bluebells in early spring.
