Clonwilliam House Wedding, Eleanor and Patrick
This very exclusive wedding venue is up there with the very best for your country house wedding. Clonwilliam House is a private home to a family of 6 that open their doors a very limited amount of times a year to host weddings. It’s sits nestled into the forest overlooking the Vale of Avoca in co. Wicklow and is thought to be over 350yrs old, not that it looks it at all, with its beautiful old style brought to life with new concepts. Couples can choose to marry in Clonwilliam House or gardens or in any of the churches in towns close by. Outside or inside, it doesn’t matter as the back drop is just as jawdropping everywhere around Clonwilliam House. Miriam and her fantastic crew help as little or as much as any couple like so you both can relax and soak up the beauty of this private estate. As for your reception, dinner and dancing in the barn or playing vintage lawn games with your guests at your drinks reception, it’s all an experience to be had. The barn can seat 200 guests. Surrounds by beautiful luxury decor alongside antiques and pretty fairy lights. Not only do they accomadate your wedding day but also, if you choose, the day and night before and after with a formal meal or even a BBQ in the stable yard.
Accommodation for your guests
Close by to Clonwilliam House are plenty of hotels and guest houses for your wedding guest. The house itself can accomadate up to 14 guests. The history and decor just surrounds you inside this one of a kind house, you’ll never want to leave! You can even take a dip in their private indoor pool and Jacuzzi!
Photo Opportunities
As Clonwilliam House sits right on the hill at Avoca, the views and landscape are every photographer’s dream. You’ll be in a wonderful woodland setting surrounded by rivers and wildlife. This fantastic panoramic setting is just ideal for a luxury private estate wedding
A Recent Wedding At Clonwilliam
Eleanor and Patrick got in touch through a recommendation from another couple (Breda & Peter) who also booked Clonwilliam House in 2019. As Eleanor and Patrick decided to get ready in Clonwilliam my day started there. The plan was to keep hopping from the boys (who were getting ready on the ground floor) to the ladies who were having hair and makeup done up in the master bedroom. When I arrived the boys were having a swim in the basement spa pool. What a way to start the day! I could go on and on about the day here but I think this time I will leave the images to tell the story of this magnificent wedding.
“The album looks amazing ! Really fantastic, you’ve done such an incredible job on capturing our special day and we will treasure your beautiful photographs forever” – Eleanor & Patrick
