I had a cracking day at the wedding of Katie and John at that wonderful Kildare wedding venue, The Killashee House Hotel. This is not Kildares best wedding venue by chance, the staff at the Killashee make sure your day goes without a hitch, they are always to hand to look after every need of their wedding clients, and then of course the gardens and the décor are just outstanding.

Katie and John are emigrating toAustralia next Monday, so it’s going to be a very quick turn around with the wedding album before they head off.

Irelands lost is Australia’s gain however, they are such a wonderful couple. Boy did they enjoy their day, and so did I.

I haven’t blogged a wedding in a while now, so my new years resolution is to improve on this for 2012

This lovely wedding of Joanne & Neill was in my local venue, The Keadeen Hotel in Newbridge Co Kildare. It’s such a lovely hotel with the very best reputation when it comes to the staff, weddings, food and hospitality. I dont think I know of any hotel that look after the bride and groom so well.

The whether didn’t help us early in the day (it rained sideways for most of the day) but when we arrived at the hotel for some lucky reason we got a ten minute window without rain in the garden, and then, you guessed, it rain came down again, big time.

The Christmas lights give any wedding image that little extra sparkle, but throw in the lovely new gardens at the Keadeen Hotel and I think we got some magical images to go into the album.

Barberstowns Castle Wedding

I have covered a good few weddings at the lovely Barberstown castle this year, its one of the most popular wedding venues in Co Kildare and as a wedding photographer I can see why. If you are getting married in Kildare in 2012 and have being to see this castle I have no doubt you will know why as well.

Lynne & Jason got married in St David’s Church in the heart of Naas town, and then it was just a quick drive over to Barberstown for the fun and party. They were very lucky with the autumn weather as it had rained all day the day before and the day after.

Castle Leslie Estate, wedding of Sharon & Ian

Sharon and Ian are a wonderful couple from Dublin who decided to go up to the Castle Leslie Estate in County Monaghan for their wedding. If you don’t know of Castle Leslie you really must check out their website, its one of the most unique and enchanting castles in Ireland today. I have photographed a number of weddings at the castle now and I have to say it’s a wedding photographer’s dream venue, well worth the drive up.

The weather forecast was not great, rain and a cold breeze, thank god for the weather men! It was warm, no breeze, and one short shower. Don’t you just love it when they get it wrong?

Sharon and Ian got ready at the castle, and from there headed to the church less than 10 minutes drive away, the rest as they say is “in the images”

Ardenode Hotel Wedding, Jane & Brian

Jane & Brian were married in the lovely Wicklow village of Ballymore Eustace. After the ceremony we headed just down the road to the Ardenode Hotel . What a charming hotel it is, with its magnificent landscaped gardens and views over the Wicklow Mountains it’s a venue to keep in mind when getting married in Wicklow. It’s a great place to for wedding photograph.

The day itself went without a hitch; even the weather played its part.

WEDDING 17th Sept, Portlaoise-Bridge House Hotel,Tullamore.

I had the pleasure to photograph the beautiful wedding of Lindsay & Michael at the Church of the Assumption, The Heath, (just outside Portlaoise Town) and then on to the Bridge House Hotel in Tullamore for their reception. Sun, clouds and a bit of rain was the order of the day. We stopped of at Emo Court for some wedding photography and just as we arrived the rain came down, we waited for a few minutes and we were rewarded when the clouds folded back to give us some great skies (see the image below). We got about ten minutes free from rain but it was enough time to get what we needed. A great day was had by all.

Barberstown Castle, Kildare Anne & David’s Wedding

Anne and David had the most beautiful day for their wedding at the wonderful Kildare wedding castle otherwise know as Barberstown Castle is a very popular wedding venue, (not hard to see why when you visit their website) but it’s not only popular with couples ,wedding photographers love it too, it has some lovely gardens to the back and the interior has plenty of great backgrounds.

It was a great day all round, hope you enjoy the wedding images.

If you close your eyes and imagine the wedding venue of your dreams, most likely it would look very similar to the fabulous K-Club in Co Kildare. On their website, they give you ten good reasons to book your wedding with them, let me just say, there are most likely one hundred more that they don’t tell you about.

This is the setting Sandra and Ray chose to have the wedding of their dreams. The day was filled with Love, fun and lots of laughter.
